Engineering challenge
Integrate a pipelined RTL block into a larger processing system while preserving transaction ordering and correct behavior during stalls, flushes and resets.
These client projects reflect our hands-on engineering experience. Each overview describes the work we carried out, the deliverables and how we collaborated with the client’s team. Client names and identifying project details are omitted.
Integrate a pipelined RTL block into a larger processing system while preserving transaction ordering and correct behavior during stalls, flushes and resets.
We reviewed interface contracts, defined control and buffering behavior, implemented agreed RTL changes and investigated cross-block simulation failures.
We delivered microarchitecture updates, RTL changes, interface documentation and a validation summary covering the agreed scenarios.
We worked with the client’s architecture and verification engineers to resolve protocol assumptions and review integration dependencies.
Transaction loss and duplication, ordering, and recovery behavior within the defined interface contract and agreed regression scenarios.
Image frames pass through processing and focus-statistics stages. Frame context keeps configuration and results aligned while focus control closes the loop.
Validate autofocus-related processing and control when frame timing, configuration updates and pipeline stalls interact.
We mapped frame and configuration lifecycles, reviewed control-state transitions, defined corner cases and traced failures across the relevant hardware interfaces.
We delivered a validation plan, agreed assertions and directed scenarios, documented findings and RTL corrections within the project scope.
We aligned expected behavior with the client’s imaging, architecture and verification teams, including reference-model expectations where available.
Associating results with the correct frame and configuration, applying updates at specified boundaries, and checking reset and stall behavior against agreed requirements.
Coordinate data delivery and result handling between a transfer subsystem and an FPGA accelerator under variable latency and competing traffic.
We defined transaction flow, evaluated buffer and arbitration choices, developed the agreed RTL and analyzed stalls against representative traffic models.
We delivered a dataflow specification, buffering rationale, scoped RTL implementation and simulation findings identifying bottlenecks and operating assumptions.
We worked with the client’s system and accelerator engineers to agree on transfer interfaces, workloads, resource constraints and measurement methodology.
Data integrity, transaction completion, backpressure handling, deadlock checks under specified progress assumptions, and throughput assessment against the targets established during scoping.
